EA Seemingly Mock People Who Like Single-Player Games, Immediately Regret It

Every person on this planet, I’d wager, has had a moment in their life that they look back on and cringe at how awkward it was. A rejection from a crush, an embarrassing slip of the tongue, tripping over on a busy street - we’ve all been there. With the modern age of social media, and people using Twitter to reveal their innermost thoughts in an unending stream of consciousness, there’s bound to be a few gaffs and goofs hidden amongst the millions and millions of messages sent every day.
Unfortunately for EA, one such poorly thought out tweet from them has attracted rather a lot of attention for seemingly mocking people who enjoy playing single-player games over multiplayer ones. Naturally, people have not been kind.
EA seem to have forgotten that they, themselves, publish a lot of very popular single player games, like the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Let’s do some homework first. The tweet in question states, “they’re a 10 but they only like playing single-player games”. Which is a reference to a TikTok trend where the user will state that a person is a 10 (out of 10 for personality, looks etc) but then they have one glaring flaw that makes them unattractive. I know, it’s simple enough but I still have to explain these things.
ANYWAY, as I mentioned, people were not particularly impressed with the publisher. There’s been plenty of backlash in recent years from people who enjoy single-player titles over the constant deluge of multiplayer titles that could be considered to be a thinly-veiled cash grab. Who am I to say if that’s true or not?

Youtuber Jacksepticeye simply said: “They’re a 10 but thought this tweet was a good idea”, and let me tell you, EA have been completely ratioed by the reply which has (at the time of writing) roughly seven times more engagement than the actual tweet itself. Big L for EA there.
Of course it’s not really a big L because as the saying goes, there’s no such thing as bad press. And here we all are talking about EA, and there they are having not deleted the tweet. So who’s the real fools? Well, it’s EA. They wrote in a follow-up tweet, “Roast well deserved. We’ll take this L cause playing single player games actually makes them an 11.”
Yeah nice try chief, still got bodied by Jacksepticeye and over ten thousand other people though, didn’t you? Lesson learned.
