There’s been an influx of new players to Fallout 4 recently due to the overwhelming success of the TV show, which is already confirmed to be getting a second season.

If you’re new to the game, here’s everything you need to know to get you started

If you’re one of those new players you might want to know how you can become as powerful as the Fallout 4 veterans, in the quickest and easiest way possible.

While I’d wholeheartedly recommend approaching the game at your own pace and progressing through naturally, there are a number of tips and tricks you can learn if you just want to get into the high-level action.

In a Reddit thread by EmiDek, the player asked if there were any neat secrets they should know before starting a new character, as they’re aiming to reach the maximum level and essentially do everything there is to do in the game.

While plenty of great tips and tricks were shared, one turns out to be a great way of farming XP and sellable items with minimal effort.

Commenter bluishgreyish says you can “build cabinets for xp, leave them for a bit and they’ll spawn items like tape and microscopes, good cheese for a survival play through early game.”

Now you’re not going to hit max level this way, at least not for a while, but as the commenter said it’s a good way of kickstarting your playthrough early-on.

Another tip is harvest plenty of wood for your settlement, build fences, demolish them and then build them again, do that repeatedly and you’ll quickly rack up XP.

There are plenty of other useful tips in that Reddit thread, some of which even I didn’t know, so definitely check it out if you’re new to the game.
