Nintendo Switch free game is perfect if you're craving Fallout

Can you run a successful vault?

Fallout fever has officially hit us all and with multiple games to choose from, it is hard to know where to start if you are craving more of the post-apocalyptic setting.

Whether you want to start way back at the beginning with 1997’s Fallout or fast forward to the latest entry with Fallout 4, there are quite a few titles to choose from if watching the Amazon Prime show has given you the urge to play.

Not sure where to start? We have you covered with this handy guide!

However, for those who want to kick back and relax with a more slow-paced title, then Nintendo has you covered with Fallout Shelter.

Available on the Nintendo Switch for absolutely free, Fallout Shelter is a construction and management simulator developed by Bethesda Game Studios and sees players tasked with running their own Vault-Tec shelter.

In order to keep the dwellers happy, you will need to build a state-of-the-art vault which will keep them protected from the harsh Wasteland above. However, with a thriving community to run, you will have your hands full.

Feed, clothe, arm and train your dwellers in order to keep them happy or even send them above into the wastelands if you’re not a fan of them. They may return with some handy loot if they don’t die first.

When you are not dealing with the bustling community, you can craft, play matchmaker, build additional rooms and even customise yourself and others. Who said being in an underground shelter means you can’t look stylish?

However, with dangers lurking above, the vault won’t always be a safe haven and if you aren't careful, the dangers may start coming from within.

Fallout Shelter is free-to-play and available to download for Nintendo Switch and all other platforms right now.
