Red Dead Redemption 2 fans praise 'essential' mod that probably passed you by

Red Dead Redemption 2 fans praise 'essential' mod that probably passed you by

You owe it to Arthur to play this game right

Saddle up, riders, because there’s a Red Dead Redemption 2 mod you’ll want to check out to enhance your experience. Make that two mods.

As far as those who are already aware of these downloads are concerned, they're “essential”.

We know, that’s quite the bold claim, but we’re invested in experiencing Red Dead Redemption 2 in all its glory, and so we’re going to check this mod out.

When a player asked for mod recommendations, little did they know the wall of responses they were going to get.

Speaking of RDR2, have you seen these hilarious wins and fails?

For those looking for a more immersive experience, one fan recommends ‘Immersive Scenarios’; this will allow you to perform actions normally only reserved for NPCs.

Arthur will be able to lean on railings, sit on benches, and even “stop for a cigarette”.

The same poster also suggests the ‘Consistent Timeflow and Timescale’ mod, explaining, “You'll have to disable it during some scenes (like camp parties), but it makes time flow evenly instead of speeding up at night.”

They continued, “It also includes an option which I absolutely love where time speeds up depending on how far you travel; it makes the world feel a lot larger, and you'll be stopping to camp and enjoy the scenery more often.”

As someone who sometimes just stands and stares at the scenery from Rockstar Games’ iconic title, this sounds like a must-have download.

There are plenty of other options mentioned alongside these two specific options that’ll change up your RDR2 playthrough for the better.

For those of you who prefer playing games vanilla, however, the secrets of this Wild West saga are still waiting for you – like the mythical creature fans are discovering after six years of playing the game on and off.

Modded or not, Red Dead Redemption is a franchise we’ll always love. We just hope the next game lives up to expectations because it has some mighty big boots to fill!
