Animal Crossing meets Stardew Valley in free cat-themed Steam download

Cosy game fans should check out this cat-themed life sim available now

Combining the best elements of Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, this life sim is perfect for those who want to get stuck into a cosy adventure.

Released back in December, Snacko is a life sim perfect for cat lovers. Developed by Bluecurse Studios, players will be tasked with decorating, collecting, producing and befriending a whole variety of animals in a new life away from the city.

Check out the Stardew Valley trailer below!

“Explore and revitalise a cursed island as Momo, a former big city kitty who strikes out with her childhood best friend in hopes of finding something more fulfilling than a 9-5 office job,” reads the Steam synopsis.

With animal friends to make just like in Animal Crossing, Snacko has 26 different characters to meet and get to know. Not only can you befriend them but romance can also be on the cards with some of your animal villagers.

This includes Mikan the cat, Ember the goat and Date the horse, just to name a few. Additionally, each animal companion has their own pronouns so it is clear that the developers had gender identity diversity in mind.

When you are not hanging out with your animal friends, you can craft and place over 200 items. Once crafted, you can dye them and arrange them in your home which is also the place to go if you wish to craft over 50 recipes for you and the villagers.

As with Stardew Valley, there are fish to collect around the island and if you don’t want to keep them yourself, you can donate them to the Cultural Center. When you are not fishing, you can grow your very own crops, raise cows and even collect some fluffy chickens.

Last but not least, with 4 different biomes to explore each with unique drops and resources, there are tons to explore in Snacko which, incidentally, is now available to try out for free thanks to a free demo over on Steam.
