Red Dead Redemption 2 players only just discovering feature that would've saved us hours

Red Dead Redemption 2 players only just discovering feature that would've saved us hours

Hours have been needlessly lost

Red Dead Redemption 2 has a way of making us feel emotional and/or stupid depending on what we discover.

This particular discovery causes the latter.

You may still be reeling from learning that you’ve been dealing with bears all wrong; understandable really.

Sadly, there’s no time to compose yourselves because we’re now learning about a Red Dead Redemption 2 feature that could’ve saved us hours. Hours!

A Redditor asked, “Am I the only one who just now learned that I can hitch my horse literally anywhere in the ground?”

No, sir, you are not.

It feels apt to watch these epic wins and fails from RDR2.

The same user continued, “All you gotta do is hold the button you usually do to hitch [...] and then it will literally hitch the horse in the ground!”

To add insult to injury, the OP revealed that they’ve had the game since it launched, seemingly hinting at how long they’ve failed to notice this in-game option.

In the comments, few players are shocked by this revelation. However, they do state often that this feature is “finicky”.

“It's pretty inconsistent from my experience. But you can do it at a lot of places,” explained a fan.

We also learnt that you can hitch your horses to “most trees” – it’s quite a journey of discovery we’re on.

There’s so much we still don’t know about this game. Still, if you want to experience it anew, almost as if it’s a whole new game, there’s RDR2 Enhanced Edition.

Such a mod is geared towards fans who’ve searched every nook and cranny and long for something more.

For those still playing through the vanilla version of Rockstar Games’ legendary Wild West tale, there’s a new mythical creature fans have missed for the last six years.

More eggs on faces for this fandom.

Regardless of why you’re returning to join Arthur and co, we hope you now find it easier to hitch your horse wherever you are on the map.
