Red Dead Redemption 2 player finds hidden mine in the mountains

It's all MINE!

Red Dead Redemption 2’s extensive map is a lesson in how to do open-world games right. With plenty of secrets and Easter eggs to be discovered, they are still being stumbled across to this day.

With features that would have saved us hours to newly-discovered fast travel tricks, Red Dead Redemption 2 is continuing to surprise us six years on from release.

Check out the Red Dead Redemption 2 launch trailer below!

The memorable action-adventure title by Rockstar Games is hailed as one of the best thanks to its incredible story, fun gameplay and endless hours of content.

Another area it is praised for is its attention to detail and an example of that was found by one user over on r/reddeadredemption2.

“While exploring in the snowy mountains, I discovered an abandoned mine shaft,” they wrote. “While running through it, I found a creepy message, 'A FOOL ON COMMAND', written with blood. Anyone know what this is referring to? Or if there are any more secrets?”

The mine shaft in question is located in the Grizzlies West region of Ambarino territory northwest of Cattail Pond and southeast of Mount Hagen.

Once you have entered the abandoned mine shaft, you will stumble across the mysterious text which may look ominous but is actually just one of many cheat codes scrawled in areas around the map.

This one in particular will make Arthur blind-drunk when entered which doesn’t serve any real purpose but can definitely make for some hilarious moments.

In related news, we all remember sobbing over Red Dead Redemption 2’s story but this secret moment that takes place after the final events will leave you in tears once again. How dare a story about a gruff cowboy leave such a lasting impression!
