Black Friday 2021: The Best Xbox Deals On Consoles And Games

It’s that time of year where we’re all (okay, some of us) searching online for a bargain or two on gaming hardware and the latest and greatest titles. And if you’re someone who mains an Xbox over any other platform out there, you’re in the right place, right here, for our pick of the best Black Friday 2021 deals on Xbox games and consoles.

First things first: the console itself. Or, I guess, consoles, since there are three Xbox models on sale right now: the outgoing but holding-on-strong Xbox One, the Series X with its disc drive, and the all-digital Series S. Surprisingly nobody, the Series X remains tough to find - not PlayStation 5 tough but its restocks rarely survive beyond an hour or so. The Series S however is available right now - and this deal at Amazon for the console with a stack of credit for both Rocket League and Fortnite, for £249.99, is one of the better prices around.

ICYMI, Xbox is also now selling… a fridge? Yeah, that’s a thing.

Sticking with Amazon and other Series S bundles are available, albeit for rather more moolah: the console plus Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will set you back a few pennies shy of £310, which doesn’t feel amazing given the RRP of the console is £249.99 anyway. A cheaper option that immediately gives you hundreds of games to play is a Series S console plus three months of Game Pass Ultimate for £282.98 - so not only do you get the latest Halo and Forza titles, alongside many other AAA releases, but a host of EA games too. There’s another decent Game Pass-included deal on Amazon at the moment, too - you can get an Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 plus three months’ subscription for £165.98, a saving of £18.

NGL, console deals for Xbox don’t get much better than the above, this Black Friday - so if you spy anything cheaper, jump on it. Regarding Game Pass, Xbox is still offering your first month for a quid, if you’re yet to get on what is probably the best subscription deal out there. And diving deeper in the games, we get rather more choice and a great deal more bang for our bucks than the hardware side of things.

First up is Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which is right up there amongst the GAMINGbible team’s favourite games of 2021. It’s not tearing up any rule books action wise but its sharp writing and affecting plot are commendable - and it’s a steal at £34.99 at Amazon. Sticking with acclaimed releases of 2021, and here’s the 9/10-scored Hitman 3 for £27.99 at JD Williams, and Back 4 Blood for £29.99 at the same store. The Games Awards-nominated action-RPG Scarlett Nexus, which we liked a lot, is down to a very attractive £22.85 at Base.

Going digital, and Forza Horizon 4 is just £18.14 on the Microsoft Store - a terrific price for any non-Game Pass subs who want to play this excellent, Britain-set driving adventure. One of the best gaming stories of 2021, Life is Strange: True Colors, is down to £32.49, and the horrors of Resident Evil Village will set you back just £27.49. Little Nightmares II is discounted to under £17, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - an oldie but a genuine all-timer - is just £4.99 right now. Less than the price of a pint for one of the greatest role-playing experiences, ever. You can find all these digital discounts here

So far as Xbox accessories go, this saving of £40 on Razer’s Wolverine 2 controller at Amazon is a darn fine deal - that takes the pad to just £59.99. And anyone needing storage for their Series S or X should look to Very’s discount on a Seagate 1TB expansion card - at £184.99 it’s a saving of £35. The same retailer has a number of other storage reductions for Black Friday - you can browse them here.

And that’s where we’ll leave this lil round-up, as we’ve all got places to be, and stuff to shop for. Want Nintendo and PlayStation Black Friday deals? Click those links, friends.
