Spoilers for The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian ahead - proceed at your own risk!

It's a pretty exciting time to be a fan of Star Wars, that much is certain. The Mandalorian, while always nothing less than excellent, has been especially great over the last couple of episodes. Delivering plenty of references to wider lore and characters we never expected to see in a live-action series, the Disney+ show has shown that it's possible to put in the fan-pleasing stuff without beating us over the head with it.

The peak example of this came during last week's episode of The Mandalorian. "The Jedi" featured the completely unexpected live-action debut of fan-favourite Ahsoka Tano, former apprentice to Anakin Skywalker who has been an incredibly popular presence among fans since her debut in The Clone Wars animated movie back in 2008.

Played by the phenomenal Rosario Dawson in The Mandalorian (taking over from Ashley Eckstein's brilliant turn as the animated incarnation of the character), Ahsoka's live-action debut was a timely reminder that she is quite honestly one of the best Star Wars characters out there: A real ass-kicking name-taking Jedi, one with a compelling connection to Darth Vader and a genuine guilt over her perceived failure to stop him falling to the Dark Side.

Basically, I need to see more of her. Obviously, I would like to come in the form of her very own video game, because I like when Star Wars and video games mush together. That's very much My Jam.

In my mind I see Ahsoka Tano's Star Wars adventure taking pretty much exactly the same shape as Respawn's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The 2019 game gave us a pretty perfect template for a Jedi-fronted game, and I see absolutely no reason to mess with that. Give us a game that explores what Tano was up to between The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian.

While there's plenty of mystery around this period, most fans believe she was off exploring Sith temples and uncovering secrets of the Dark Side... and to be honest that is 1000% a game I would play the heck out of. Crumbling Sith ruins full of puzzles, traps, and other twisted challenges would make for some epic gameplay moments, and her quest to hold The Force in perfect balance is a story I think fans everywhere are keen to hear.

Even if you'd never heard of Tano before seeing her in The Mandalorian, her live-action appearance has elevated her to new heights and makes her the perfect star for the next single-player adventure set in everybody's favourite galaxy far, far away. She's certainly a hell of a lot more interesting than Cal Kestis, the wettest blanket the Jedi ever produced. Let's make it happen, EA. Yeah? Yeah.
