September's PlayStation Plus free games appear to have leaked ahead official announcement and, a good number of subscribers are once again complaining that they aren't receiving the games they wanted or expected. Go figure.

Dealabs has a pretty solid track record when it comes to leaking the PS Plus lineup. In March, they predicted accurately that we'd be getting Final Fantasy VII Remake, Remnant: From the Ashes, Maquette and Farpoint. They were also bang-on when it came to May and July's free games, revealing that it would be Battlefield V, Stranded Deep, Wreckfest and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, WWE 2K Battlegrounds and A Plague Tale: Innocence respectively.

This month, Dealabs has gone against the previously rumoured Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+ 2 - Remastered and JETT: The Far Shore to claim that we're getting two entirely different games. According to the publication, it'll be Overcooked! All You Can Eat for PS5 and Hitman 2 and Predator: Hunting Grounds for the PS4.

As with many of the past few PlayStation Plus announcements, there are fans who feel these rumoured games fall short of the killer run we had at the start of the year. While it's true we were getting a AAA game almost every month, Sony needs to try and strike a balance between new games and popular games - while actually making sure most of the people who subscribe don't already own one or all of the games they're trying to give away for free.

While August's lineup - Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, Tennis World Tour 2, and Hunter's Arena: Legends - left almost everyone cold, it's fair to say that September is a significant step up. Hitman 2 alone is more than a worthy addition to any collection: a sprawling, deadly sandbox puzzle game that invites players to get truly creative in how they track and kill their targets.

Overcooked! All You Can Eat sweetens an already pretty darn good deal. For a start, it's technically two games as it combines the original Overcooked and its sequel with a bunch of brand-new content. It also happens to be one of the most hilarious multiplayer experiences currently available, and I'd urge you to try it out with a friend.

As for Predator: Hunting Grounds? It might not have taken the world by storm when it launched, but PS Plus is a perfect opportunity to try out games you might know nothing about.

It's clearly incredibly easy to moan about PS Plus every single month - heck, sometimes I'd argue it's even justified - but this September lineup is absolutely killer! You've got epic single-player, great multiplayer, and a selection of titles you might not already own. There's not much more a PS Plus lineup can do, is there?
