Assassin's Creed Valhalla contains hundreds of hours of RPG goodness
Having a few days to play games gives you a great chance to sink into a long story bolstered by brilliant tactical battles. If that’s your bag, then download Midnight Suns and fill your boots with plenty of Marvel action. You might be more of a DC comics fan, in that case, you need to play LEGO DC Super Villains, a perfect one for the family gathering together, or just a joyous 3D platformer filled with iconic DC details.

A tactical sports game might sound like a strange genre, but Blood Bowl III will open your mind. It’s from Games Workshop, so expect brilliantly detailed character models beating each other senselessly while also playing a form of American Football. For some multiplayer carnage, Rainbow Six Siege will have you testing all your shooter skills in a battle of unique operators trying to capture points and defuse explosives.
If you want more of a chill weekend, then the vibes of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy are ideal. It’s up to you to prove criminal cases as a lawyer. The cast is memorable and brilliantly off-the-wall in this funny and charming set of adventures. To keep the laughs coming, why not try the lewd and puerile humour of South Park: The Stick of Truth which manages to encapsulate the gross jokes of the TV show in this genuinely great RPG.
If RPGs are your bag and you haven’t experienced the brilliant Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, now is the time. You might have a few extra days off work for Easter and what better way to escape than to travel into England’s dark ages as you play a Viking trying to find your place among the Gods. Let’s finish off with one more Ubisoft game - perhaps one of their best - Rayman Legends. If you want a colourful, fast-paced platformer you just have to play this game. It’s easily one of the best platformers of the past twenty years and it’s another that’s perfect for families playing together.
