How long is Hogwarts Legacy?

How long is Hogwarts Legacy?

Hogwarts Legacy is finally here, well, for PC and new-gen gamers at least, and fans are wondering how long will it take to beat the game?

Hogwarts Legacy is finally here, well, for PC and new-gen gamers at least, and fans are wondering how long is the Wizarding World action RPG?

The short answer to that question is that it all depends on the individual gamer. Regardless, whether you're a gamer that likes to blitz through a story or explore every nook and cranny, there is plenty of fun to be had in Hogwarts Legacy.

How long is the main campaign?

As reported by CharlieIntel, details regarding the Hogwarts Legacy art book leaked in January 2023 and it claimed that it will take around 30 to 35 hours to finish the main campaign. However, that would be if you blitz through the story as quickly as possible without enjoying everything else Hogwarts Legacy has to offer.

How long will it take to earn the Platinum Trophy?

According to previous reports, it can take anywhere between 60 to 70 hours to earn the Platinum Trophy on PlayStation or 1000G on Xbox. It has been claimed that Hogwarts Legacy features 603 collectibles, 95 Merlin Trials and 57 side-quests.

However, the developers at Avalanche Software have stated that Hogwarts Legacy features over 100 side-quests. What’s more, the games lead designer, Troy Leavitt has previously stated that it can take between 100 to 120 hours to enjoy everything in the game. So there is some contradicting information out in the wild.

What else do we need to know?

Furthermore, it’s worth keeping in mind that we’re still during the early days of Hogwarts Legacy’s release, so estimated completion times will evolve over the coming weeks and months. One helpful website to keep an eye on is “How Long to Beat”. This is an aggregated website that keeps track of player completion times for a variety of play styles.

Hogwarts Legacy releases this week for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on the 10th of February or on the today for those that pre-ordered the Deluxe or Collector’s Edition.

As for last-gen and Nintendo Switch owners, you’ll have to be a little more patient. Hogwarts Legacy will release on 4th April for PS4 and Xbox One, and then for Nintendo Switch on 25th, July.
