Amazon's upcoming live-action Fallout TV series has just announced some of the actors that will be joining the post-apocalyptic adventure, and it's fair to say our excitement in the project has just skyrocketed.

Amazon and Bethesda announced the collaboration back in 2020, revealing that the post-apocalyptic video game franchise will be adapted for the small screen by Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonah Nolan. Bethesda boss Todd Howard is also attached as executive producer.

A casting call was sent out earlier this year, and with filming expected to start in just a few months, we finally know some of the faces that will be part of the Fallout series.

As reported by Variety, Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Xelia Mendes-Jones (Wheel Of Time), and Aaron Moten (Disjointed) have all signed up for the adaptation, though exactly who each of the stars will be playing remains a secret for now. The trio join previously announced cast members Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets) and Walton Goggins (Ant Man And The Wasp).

It's an incredibly solid cast so far, and I'm especially excited to see what the always fabulous MacLachlan brings to the world of Fallout. It's currently unknown if the series will adapt the story of any one of the games, or simply take inspiration from the world and characters to do its own thing. I'd wager the latter, but we'll have to wait and see.

"Fallout is one of the greatest game series of all time" Joy and Nolan said back in 2020. "Each chapter of this insanely imaginative story has cost us countless hours we could have spent with family and friends. So we're incredibly excited to partner with Todd Howard and the rest of the brilliant lunatics at Bethesda to bring this massive, subversive, and darkly funny universe to life with Amazon Studios."

"Over the last decade, we looked at many ways to bring Fallout to the screen," added Howard. "But it was clear from the moment I first spoke with Jonah and Lisa a few years ago, that they and the team at Kilter were the ones to do it right. We're enormous fans of their work and couldn't be more excited to work with them and Amazon Studios."
