Amazon's Fallout TV Series First Look Shows A Very Familiar Location

Amazon's Fallout TV Series First Look Shows A Very Familiar Location

We've been here before

A first look at Amazon's upcoming Fallout TV series has appeared online, and fans have been delighted to see a very familiar location.

Amazon and Bethesda announced the collaboration back in 2020, revealing that the post-apocalyptic video game franchise will be adapted for the small screen by Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonah Nolan. Bethesda boss Todd Howard is also attached as executive producer.

What looks to be a photo taken from the set of the live-action series has now started doing the rounds online, and fans can rest easy: this Fallout series looks as authentic as we could've hoped for, with the set boasting the same unmistakable post-apocalyptic art deco aesthetic as the video games.

Even better, the location is one that should be very familiar to anyone that's played the games. Super Duper Mart is one of the first big locations players will come across in Fallout 3 after escaping the vault. Take a look below!

However, while some fans believe the appearance of Super Duper Mart means Amazon will be adapting Fallout 3 specifically, there's nothing to suggest this is the case. Super Duper Mart is a chain with stores across America, meaning this particular set photo hasn't really narrowed anything down in terms of story or location.

While we don't know much about the show's story, we do know which actors will be appearing. As reported by Variety last month, Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Xelia Mendes-Jones (Wheel Of Time), and Aaron Moten (Disjointed) have all signed up for the adaptation, though exactly who each of the stars will be playing remains under wraps at the moment.

The trio join previously announced cast members Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets) and Walton Goggins (Ant Man And The Wasp).

There's no release window for the Fallout series just yet, but we can probably expect it around late 2023/early 2024.
