Though she may be controversial, it’s hard to deny that Amouranth is hard working. The streamer is constantly finding new ways to bring in audiences from using new categories to her advantage or by streaming an extraordinary number of hours. This of course leads to business opportunities as it does with any popular streamer, but Amouranth has recently come forward to speak out against one occasion where denying a dinner request caused a businessman to become aggressive.
Amouranth posted a tweet with a link to a longer explanation of these events. She said she had been approached by someone for a business proposal and as that person had worked with others before, she began talks with the person too. She was approaching this situation from a business standpoint but it seems the other party was not, as they asked her to dinner.

She says: “Given the post-pandemic world we live in, I’m very hesitant to meet up with people in public, and as a woman, putting myself in a situation with a man I only know through business transactions over the phone for a private meeting is not something I am eager to do. I continued the conversation about business, not initially responding to his dinner offer, and his tone immediately became aggressive, threatening to end the deal when they thought that I had declined his invitation.”
This individual has apparently also worked with other women that Amouranth knows and hasn’t offered them dinner invites, it was just her. The post continues on to say: “I have been in so many situations like this before, and I’m sure that other girls in this profession are met with these situations all the time, where you expect to be treated appropriately in the context of a business deal, partnership, etc, and instead are met with suggestive “offers” or interactions that completely shatter any concept of professionalism, expectations thrust onto women in the industry that no one would expect of a male influencer.

“It honestly disgusts me that I am expected to put myself in potentially dangerous situations just because of the way people online (even business partners) perceive me.”
Amouranth obviously has her fair share of controversy. There are many that think her style of streaming is 'wrong' and shouldn’t appear on Twitch. Even so, she shouldn’t have to deal with men who pose as business partners who turn out to have ulterior motives like this. It’s just gross.
