Batman fans rejoice. Batman: Arkham Knight just got another free DLC, roughly eight years after its initial release.

Batman fans rejoice, Batman: Arkham Knight just got another free DLC, roughly eight years after its initial release.

As the biggest Batman game ever made so far, Batman: Arkham Knight is hailed as one of the world’s greatest detectives' best adventures. This is largely due to its story, stunning graphics and refined gameplay, but also for featuring a large variety of costumes to stylise your Dark Knight, whether you’re patrolling the rooftops of Gotham, or taking on Two-Face during a bank heist.

Check out Batman: Arkham Knight below, which will soon launch on Nintendo Switch!

The game’s developer Rocksteady Studios, who recently moved away from their caped-crusader IP to work on the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League game, supported Arkham Knight for a while, adding new suits, Batmobile skins, and some added story expansions.

Many might have assumed they were done with the game for good, but in a shocking turn of events that’d make Robin shout “Holy mackerel Batman!” the team returned with a small DLC update, adding something truly amazing.

The new DLC is doing the rounds on Twitter and adds the gorgeous Robert Pattinson bat-suit from the Matt Reeves film, The Batman.

Honestly, it looks phenomenal and lends itself quite well to the style of the video game. It features the same jagged bat symbol on the chest, bulky shoulder pads, and cowl from the film, which depicts a Batman about two or so years into his life as a vigilante, so it’s not the cutting-edge piece of fashion most adaptions have him wearing.

The new suit also joins several other bat-suits from live-action and animated Batman media, like Christian Bales’ from The Dark Knight, Michael Keaton’s from Batman (1989) and Ben Affleck’s from Batman V Superman.

Players should be able to download the DLC right now and cosplay as arguably the best live-action Batman in years in the best Batman video series of all time.

Batman: Arkham Knight is available on current-gen platforms, apart from Nintendo Switch will be getting the game in the future.
