Call Of Duty finally admits Warzone 2 servers suck, fans think it's too late

Call of Duty has announced that it's investigating server-related gameplay issues for Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0.

Admittedly, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 hasn’t had the best start. While the sequel was meant to introduce a bunch of improvements to the free-to-play battle royale, many fans would argue that it did quite the opposite.

Since its launch in November, Warzone 2.0’s player count has dropped massively. A recent poll found that almost 80% of participants have dropped the game altogether, which speaks volumes. With that in mind, it’s no wonder that streamers like Dr Disrespect think that the game is dying - he previously called it “the worst Call of Duty ever”.

Take a look at some of the funniest wins and fails from the original Warzone below.

Thankfully, one major thing could soon be set to change for the better. As DualShockers reports, last week, the official Call of Duty Twitter account posted: “We are investigating reports of server-related gameplay issues and are actively working to resolve them.”

While this initial tweet included a link to a Trello board of Modern Warfare II issues, if you take a look at the board dedicated to Warzone 2.0, an identical issue card was posted yesterday (24 April), which shows that the devs acknowledge that both are having issues, and hopefully, will be able to fix both (or at the very least make some improvements).

Although it’s reassuring that the devs are at the very least looking into the two games’ issues, many fans feel that action is being taken far too late, given that many have been reporting server problems for months.

“The game have server-related gameplay issues since DAY ONE back in November and [now], late APRIL, you are investigating them? What a joke,” wrote @sargentocharli. “You’ve had server issues since the release. It’s laggy as f**k on every platform. Sort it out,” tweeted @djjoerosso. “Wow four months too late,” added @DrewCooperMLO.

It remains to be seen what changes will be made to the two games, but let's hope that the server fixes are rolled out sooner rather than later.
