"Groundbreaking" 'Call Of Duty: Warzone' Sequel Teased

In February, Activision revealed that its 2022 Call Of Duty release would be the sequel to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare. Not 2007’s Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, but the one which came out in 2019.
It can be quite confusing to keep up with what is going on with the world’s best-selling franchise. Players were pleased to hear that the publisher would be disrupting the annual Call Of Duty release cycle with hopes they would take the time to polish up the last two releases, Call Of Duty: Warzone and Call Of Duty: Vanguard. However, not only will Call Of Duty not be getting a year off, but developer Infinity Ward are also hoping to complete and release a Warzone sequel to come out the same year.

Infinity Ward already teased the return of character Ghost, while playtesting is rumoured to begin next week with new information to follow. Now, insider Tom Henderson has shared a tweet where he claims someone from Activision has updated him on the development of the two Call Of Duty games currently in development.

“The Call Of Duty teams delivered substantial gameplay improvements for Vanguard and Warzone in the first quarter. Development on this year’s premium and Warzone experiences, led by Infinity Ward, is proceeding very well.”
“This year’s Call Of Duty is a sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare, the most successful Call Of Duty title to date, and will be the most advanced experience in franchise history. The new free-to-play Warzone experience, which is built from the ground-up alongside the premium game, features groundbreaking innovations to be revealed later this year.”
It is all just rumoured at this point, but it seems likely we will hear more information about the latest Call Of Duty titles soon.
