'Call Of Duty: Vanguard' Spawn System Is The "Worst" In Series History, Players Complain

'Call Of Duty: Vanguard' Spawn System Is The "Worst" In Series History, Players Complain

"As if it's impossible to improve on a 13 year old map."

Call Of Duty: Vanguard players are sick to the back teeth of the calamitous spawn system in the multiplayer modes, and have called it the worst in the series thus far. Ouch.

Nowadays, we would expect that some games will hit the shelves with a number of bugs and glitches to be squashed after the day one patch and once enough feedback has been collected. Of course, something like Cyberpunk 2077 is an extreme example, but the scale of these projects and their timeframes mean that a handful of gameplay issues are going to slip through the net.

Take a look at some excellent wins and fails from Call Of Duty: Vanguard here!

Vanguard’s issues, most specifically the spawn system in this case, have been driving players round the bend. As shown in these instances, players are entering matches simply to be pulverised by enemies without a chance to retaliate or even ground themselves before getting into the fight.

People are piping up that this perceived annoyance is actually an intended effect of the constricted map sizes like Dome and players had the same thing happening in World at War. “Laughing at the people who are saying ‘But it's done bro that's just how it is’ as if it's impossible to improve on a 13 year old map,” countered one. “This is probably the worst spawn system in any COD ever,” said another.

I suppose I can see both sides to this. If the experience is meant to be chaotic where every second you’re still surviving is a major victory, then the spawn system is working. On the other hand, you might have shelled out for a game that you cannot play for long periods because you’re constantly out of the matches and becoming more and more frustrated with your lot.

Well, Sledgehammer Games has been on the button when it comes to fan feedback, so should there be some more fuss over the spawns, it will imaginably alter to balance it out a bit better. Before that patch rolls out though, make the most of the Goliath glitch. The one where you set demolition charges, position the Goliath over these, detonate, and then fly into the air for the cheesiest sniper shots. Seriously, viewer discretion is advised if you’re lactose intolerant.
