Call Of Duty: Warzone developer Raven Software has announced that it has been forced to temporarily disable all vehicles on the Rebirth Island map due to an unfortunate glitch.
This is hardly the first time that Call Of Duty: Warzone has had to pull a feature, of course. Some of the shadier players out there are always finding new ways to exploit the game with rotten tricks, often forcing the developer to disable certain parts of the battle royale until it can find a way to block those exploits.
Take a look at some of the best Warzone wins and fails below!
It was very much business as usual for the Call Of Duty community, then, when it learned earlier this week that vehicles would no longer be available on Rebirth Island for the foreseeable future.
As it turns out, certain players were using vehicles to glitch their way inside the recently introduced Golden Vaults so that they could claim the prizes without doing any of the work. Naturally, Raven Software wasn't thrilled about this, and is taking action.
"We have temporarily disabled vehicles on Rebirth Island while we investigate an issue," the studio confirmed on Twitter last night. As you can imagine, the response from fans has been pretty merciless, especially because the "issue" Raven Software is being so vague about is painfully obvious to everyone.
"You can say it’s cause they’re being used to glitch into the bunkers," well-known Call Of Duty leaker @TheGhostOfHope hit back at the developer.
"Call of Duty is sh*t now," another user claimed. "It's an issue every other day."
Others in the replies agreed with the sentiment, and also called on Raven Software to fix some of the game's other ongoing problems, including cheating and general server issues. Pour one out for the poor social media manager who can't actually do anything about any of that.
The good news, at least, is that some fans seem genuinely happy with vehicles being temporarily disabled, and even asked if Raven Software can keep them off of Rebirth Island permanently.
