Who’s excited for Modern Warfare II? Although it’s been predicted that Activision’s upcoming Call of Duty title won’t be able to outsell FromSoftware’s powerful game of the year contender, Elden Ring, there’s still a huge amount of fans ready to jump on it, and for good reason. Leaks have suggested that we’ll be seeing some iconic maps make a return, and it’s even been claimed that we could be getting a map editor for the first time ever.
As reported by VGC, a new leak has now emerged which has revealed a bunch of details about the game’s multiplayer, including field upgrades, modes, perks, and killstreak rewards. This information comes from Twitter user @r3al1tyuk, who claims to have datamined files from Warzone Mobile.

In total, 18 different game modes have been listed, and include returning classics like Capture the Flag, Demolition, Ground War, and Search and Destroy, as well as some new ones, like Ground War Bomb, Knockout, and Bounty. No details have been given about these new game modes or how they’ll play.

Moving onto perks, there are apparently 23, and some came with descriptions. Shrapnel, for example, spawns players with an “extra piece of lethal equipment”, and High Alert will make your vision pulse when an enemy out of your view sees you. Interestingly, one of these is called Overwatch, stylised like the game - there’s no details for this one, but it does seem to suggest that there could be a crossover of some sort included in the game.
There are only five killstreak rewards listed: UAV, Fuel Bomb, Smoke Airdrop, Thermobaric Strike, and Cluster Spike. It’s nice to see UAVs make a return from MW, MW Remastered and MW2, as well as MW’s Cluster Strike (which we can only assume is the same as a Cluster Spike). It’s not been detailed how many kills you’ll need to get these rewards.
Keep in mind that this is unofficial information, so take it with a pinch of salt, but the leaker has had a number of their tweets taken down already, which would suggest there’s some legitimacy to them - we’ll have to watch this space.
