A fantastic adventure game written and directed by the founder of It Takes Two’s studio, Hazelight, is going to be available to download for free next week. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is about, you guessed it, two brothers, who set out on a journey across a fantasy world to find a cure for their father’s illness.
The game was first released back in 2013, and although it might not be the biggest name title in the world, it was much loved by those who played it and received a lot of critical acclaim on the likes of Metacritic - so it’s certainly one worth giving a go if you’ve not tried it before. You’ll be able to grab it for free, to download and keep, on the Epic Games Store between 17-24 February, so be sure to pick it up while you have the chance.

Although the game was developed by Sweden's Starbreeze Studios, it was written and directed by Josef Fares, who also wrote It Takes Two. If you kept up with The Game Awards in December last year, you’ll know that that the charming co-op beat Resident Evil Village and Deathloop, among others, to win that sought-after Game Of The Year award. Definitely not to be sniffed at.

According to HowLongToBeat, the main story of Brothers only takes around three hours to complete, so it’s a short but sweet adventure, but definitely worth an evening of anyone’s time.
Brothers will be replacing Windbound as Epic’s free game offering next week, so be sure to grab that before it goes back to being, y’know, not free. The latter, which is a survival game with roguelite components, has mixed reviews on Steam. But it sure is pretty, so you might as well add it to your library while you can.
