The first details of Cyberpunk 2077's long-awaited first major expansion appear to have leaked online, and it looks like fans of the CD Projekt RED sci-fi RPG are about to get a lot more content to dive into.

CDPR has been working on the previously confirmed Cyberpunk 2077 expansion for a while now, although the developer has made it clear that fixing up the base game's many, many issues has been the main priority.

But with Cyberpunk 2077 currently in a far better position than it was this time last year, fans are hopeful that CDPR has finally turned its full attention to the expansion. It certainly looks as if that might just be the case.

As first spotted by VGC, dataminers have managed to pull a ton of information from a recent patch that includes hundreds of lines of dialogue from the upcoming expansion, essentially laying out the entire thing.

From what we can gather, the DLC will take place on the Night City map, but open up previously inaccessible parts of Pacifica and give us plenty of new areas to explore. It's been rumoured for a while that the first Cyberpunk 2077 expansion takes place in and around Pacifica, so this lines up nicely.

The leak also points to at least seven main story missions, and a new character called Songbird who appears to have the ability to "silence" Johnny Silverhand, the deceased punk rocker who lives in V's head. Given that Silverhand is played the incredibly famous and super busy Keanu Reeves, it's not hugely surprising to learn he won't really feature in the expansion.

There are references to sidequests and new world events too, of course, plus some new endgame dialogue. It doesn't look like the expansion will change any of the game's established endings, however. Instead, it's more likely that V will simply now reference some of the events of the DLC.

Take all this with a pinch of salt for now. But with not-E3 season coming up, we wouldn't be too shocked if CDPR unveils the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion soon. Watch this space.
