Cyberpunk 2077 may not be a perfect game, but much of its strength comes from incredible setting and unforgettable characters.

Night City is a fascinating open world - a grimy view of the near-future filled with constant power struggles, rampant class inequality, and technology that's slowly tearing everybody apart. Actually, I guess it's not so different to 2022.

Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs Of Night City is a brand-new board game that once again focuses on the politics and struggles of the dystopian city. To be very clear, Gangs Of Night City is based specifically on Cyberpunk 2077, and not the original Cyberpunk tabletop RPG on which CD Projekt RED's 2020 game adapted. It's cute that we've come full circle though.

The board game is available to back right now on Kickstarter, should you so choose. It's full of characters and locations from Cyberpunk 2077, too, including iconic Edgerunners like Johnny Silverhand and Jackie Welles (RIP both).

Here's the board game's official description, courtesy of CMON: “Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs of Night City is a competitive game in which 1 to 4 players take on the role of ruthless gangs vying for control of the underground in the glittering hellhole that is Night City. Clash with other Gangs in the meat or on the Net, as your enterprising band of toughs seeks to gain dominance over the criminal underworld that rules the streets. Only the boldest will be remembered, and your Street Cred will pave your way to the top.”

In other words, players will have to fight to make the biggest name for themselves in Night City by taking bold risks and making big plays.

Supporting the board game on Kickstarter will obviously net you some exclusive goodies, such as miniatures of V (male and female) and a handful of other popular characters.

Cyberpunk 2077: Gangs Of Night City has already smashed past its initial goal of $100,000, with nearly $280,000 pledged at the time of writing. The game is currently aiming for a 2023 release.
