We’ve all got our favourite games. For me personally, my favourite game of all time is probably Portal 2. I mean the performances, the puzzles, the environments, the lemon monologue - it’s all perfect for me. A true 10/10 game if ever there was one. But when we’re not talking about just our preferences and the ultimate game of all-time there seems to be a new winner. FromSoftware’s Dark Souls.

Ah at least, Portal got a mention. Speaking of Valve, the founder Gabe Newell also made an appearance at the celebrations accepting a different award. The Golden Joysticks also wanted to make sure to award a piece of tech with best hardware of all time. I’m sure it’s no surprise to you or, in fact anyone, that the PC won. Consoles are great and all but PCs have been a consistent part of gaming set ups for the longest time.
