Dinosaur Horror Game 'Instinction' Gets Stunning Unreal Engine 5 Gameplay

Hashbane Interactive have revealed a first look at Instinction gameplay in Unreal Engine 5, and it looks phenomenal.

This year has already been a phenomenal one when it comes to game releases - from Horizon Forbidden West, to Elden Ring, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus back in January, we’ve not been short of amazing titles. In fact, those were all from the first two months of the year, so you know it’s been packed. 2022 is far from over, though, and looking at the release calendar, we have so much more to come, including this stunning spiritual successor to Dino Crisis which looks too good to miss.

First announced last year, Instinction is a prehistoric action horror game which is basically set to be the new Dino Crisis we’ve always wanted, but never got. Trapped on an island full of very big dinosaurs with very big teeth and very rumbly tummies, you’ll have to stay on your toes to survive as you investigate the secrets of what’s happened in this place. The thing that immediately hits you about this game though is just how visually stunning it is - it’s developed in Unreal Engine 5, and Hashbane Interactive have just revealed our first look at some gameplay in the engine. I don't think you're ready for this.

Take a look at this stunning glimpse of Instinction gameplay in Unreal Engine 5.

Even from this short clip, you can already see just how incredible Instinction is going to be to explore and just get lost in. The realistic visuals are mind-blowing, but perhaps most excitingly is the information tucked away in the video description: “We hope you're looking forward to the addition of a photo mode.” Erm, yes. Yes we are.

“Experience a cinematic story based action adventure with combat, exploration and puzzles, where the environments can be as treacherous and beautiful as the creatures you encounter,” the game’s description reads on Steam. “Environmental puzzles will have you completing quests and searching for ancient artefacts left by an unknown civilisation long since gone, or so it seems, while navigating stunning locations and embarking on an unforgettable journey.”

Instinction is set to release this year on PC, PS4/5, Xbox One, and Series X/S, so stay tuned for more info.
