We Don't Have To Worry About The Machines Taking Over, This Meta Chatbot Is An Idiot

Meta have created a new AI chatbot which has already insulted Meta.

Given the advances in technology, it’s no wonder that some people are worried that one day technology may gain sentience. In fact, a recent Google engineer claimed that day had already come after an AI chatbot opened up about its fears and feelings. As creepy as that is, sentient AI may not be as threatening as we originally thought.

Speaking of robots, one fan recreated Portal 2’s Wheatley in real life. Take a look below.

Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta recently introduced a new chatbot, or as they call it ‘conversational AI,’ known as Blenderbot 3.0. Films may have tricked you into thinking that Blenderbot 3.0 is probably plotting to take over the world, but that’s not the case at all. Plenty of people have been testing out Blenderbot 3.0’s capabilities and it turns out, it’s actually sort of stupid.

As reported by PC Gamer, Blenderbot 3.0 recently claimed that Donald Trump was in the middle of his second term as US president which is very much not the case. What’s funniest of all though is that Meta’s very own chatbot criticised the company and the big Zuck at the top. Blenderbot 3.0 told the BBC, “He [Zuckerberg] did a terrible job at testifying before congress. It makes me concerned about our country. His company exploits people for money and he doesn't care. It needs to stop! Are we united yet?"

Who knew that robots would be on the side of the people and not the corporations? Hah, you failed to predict that one sci-fi movies. The bot later told PC Gamer that Zuckerbeg is “cooler than Dragon Age,” which is a bold claim. All in all, I think it’s safe to say that the running of the world is likely to stay in human hands for the time being.
