Drake uses anime porn to promote new album, leaving fans confused

No, we're not sure why either...

Promoting your work in the age of social media is a tricky business. When I was younger (not all that long ago), a simple advert on the TV, in a magazine, or on the side of a bus was enough to let the world know you had something new coming out. Not in 2022.

We live in an age of endless, relentless content. How do we let people know our content is the content they should be consuming? Any old idiot can pay for an advert, right?

This is, I’m assuming, what rapper Drake thought as he decided to promote his latest album, ‘Her Loss’, by sharing a ton of hentai (or anime porn) with his 124 million followers. It certainly got people talking quicker than a poster at a train station would have, to be fair.

“Drake posting that stuff is so endearing,” wrote one user on Twitter. “Like when your substitute teacher would watch porn on his blackberry in class.”

“Never in my lifetime would I expect to see Drake post some Hentai,” another added.

A third exclaimed: “Why is Drake posting Hentai on his IG Story… YOU HAVE AN ALBUM COMING OUT IN 3 HOURS CAN WE BE SERIOUS???”

The (extremely NSFW) images were posted to Drake’s Instagram story, meaning they’re long-gone at this point. They are, of course, still available to find over on Twitter if you really want to see what the rapper was posting to his followers. I’m really not joking when I say it’s NSFW though, so please proceed with caution. I’m not sure “Drake made me do it” is a defence that will hold up when your boss asks why you’re gawping at anime boobs at your desk.
