'Elden Ring' Most Hated Weapon Has Been Nerfed

Today, a new update for Elden Ring has been rolled out, packing with it a plethora of improvements for gameplay stability and balance. As detailed in a blog post on Bandai Namco’s website, along with the newly added ability to send summoning signs to multiple summoning pools in distant areas, and the function to invade a bigger area, a number of changes have been applied to certain weapons and attacks. 

It’s good news for anyone who likes using Greatswords, Curved Greatswords or Great Hammers - you’ll now be able to roll away after attacks faster than before (excluding jump attacks, mounted and dual wield attacks). The motion speed of Guard Counter, as well as strong and charged (non-mounted) attacks has also been increased.

Perhaps the most exciting change here though is for the players out there getting sick of a certain weapon being used against them in invasions. The time has finally come - Rivers of Blood has been nerfed. Well, sort of, anyway. As GamesRadar+ writes, the katana’s weapon skill, Corpse Piler, has taken a hit - the damage and bleed build-up when hit with the blood attack has been decreased, as has the damage when hit with the blade (although only slightly).
