Elden Ring, Skyrim, and Shadow Of The Colossus combine in 2024's most exciting game

Elden Ring, Skyrim, and Shadow Of The Colossus combine in 2024's most exciting game

We couldn't be more hyped about this 2024 release if we tried!

Ever since we clapped eyes on the Dragon’s Dogma II showcase in late November 2023, we’ve been desperate to see more. How could we not want to see more from one of the most exciting games of 2024?

Although there are plenty of new titles releasing this year that will attempt to smash the eye-watering records of 2023’s catalogue, few have garnered as much hype as Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma II.

Take a look at the game in action below.

The 30-minute showcase we were treated to last year just wasn’t enough to sate our appetites for the sequel – we’ve waited a long time for this, with us only having to wait a little longer now that we know how soon its release date is.

That being said, 22 March feels like an age away, with January notorious for feeling like a month that never ends, so thank goodness we can share new in-game footage with you, courtesy of IGN. In the video, you’ll follow the Fighter, Thief, Warrior, and Sorcerer classes, each offering a unique means of traversing this epic RPG.

“I’m so amazed at how perfectly they’ve kept the overall look and style of the original game but given it such a beautiful new coat of paint. It’s so cool seeing some of the old monsters with updated graphics and a fresh look!” posted one delighted fan.

Another said, “My most hyped game of 2024 by FAR! AND ITS PRETTY CLOSE!” When someone uses capitals to get their point across, you know they’re excited.

For those reading this who’ve not played the original game, it’s best described as a marrying together of Elden Ring, Skyrim, and Shadow of the Colossus, which we can all agree is a fantastic combination for any game to evoke.

Launching on Steam, Xbox Series X/S, and the PlayStation 5, this is going to be a game that gives heavy hitters like Baldur’s Gate 3 a run for its money.

The wait is lessening, thank goodness, with 22 March only a couple of months away.
