‘Elden Ring’ Player Defeats Final Boss After Five Months

If you want to stand a chance at beating Elden Ring, you’re going to need both skill and patience. Personally, I’m far too lacking in both areas to even stand a chance of finally beating FromSoftware’s latest title but there are plenty of dedicated Tarnished out there.

One player recently broke the game after reaching an obscene playtime. Elden Ring’s clock only tracks up to 1,000 hours which should be more than enough time regardless of your play style, yet one player still managed to max it out. I’m weirdly impressed by that. Another player has now shown similar levels of dedication after they finally defeated The Elden Lord after a whopping five months.

Twitch streamer Dan Gheesling recently hit the headlines after an unfortunate encounter with Radagon. After 361 attempts, the streamer beat Radagon who he believed to be the game’s final boss. After a few seconds of celebration, The Elden Lord appeared and crushed Gheesling in a matter of seconds.

I’m happy to report that the streamer has finally defeated the game once and for all after a whopping five months. Gheesling’s playthrough has some pretty wild stats. It took the streamer over 360 hours to complete Elden Ring, which included 7,358 deaths. Gheesling has got my respect, that’s for sure. All it takes is 10 deaths against a boss and I’m ready to rage quit.

The streamer took to Twitter to announce the feat. He said, “Five months. 7358x deaths. Now it's over. Elden Ring, game of the decade hands down. Thank you for being there - the support during this challenge has been incredible. See you Monday for No Vig Cuphead 100 percent.” Cuphead, you say? It looks like Gheesling has another long commitment in store.
