Elden Ring is the gift that keeps on giving. From a flawless no-hit/damage run to an unconventional pacifist playthrough, Elden Ring players have found no shortage of ways to impress with their unwavering dedication to FromSoftware’s latest venture - avoiding the game’s notoriously difficult perils like it’s a walk in the park.

Instead of learning to conventionally overcome Elden Ring’s deadly foes, some players have come up with ingenious ways to gain the upper hand. Battling the ‘git gud’ argument, modders have implemented the use of a pause screen, or the ability to summon bosses to fights as spirit ashes. Having Godfrey on your side is certainly one way to make Elden Ring easier. Other ideas though have been slightly more… out of the box.

Reddit user Ugoroszczak recently revealed that he switched his regular controller for a Dance Dance Revolution dance pad. Taking the term dance battle to new heights, Ugoroszczak was able to take down one of the game’s toughest bosses, Radagon of the Golden Order.

Now, it wasn’t quite as simple as Ugoroszczak using his best moves to dazzle Radagon. Armed with a Bloodhound’s Fang, the Reddit user studied the boss’ movements for five hours, using his rapid dancing feet to dodge and counter Radagon’s deadly, successive attacks. Not only did Ugoroszczak’s strange idea work, he went on to repeat his success when facing the Elden Beast himself.

It’s not the first time gamers have managed to find unusual ways to turn a rather sedentary activity into an all out workout. A Dark Souls 3 player once linked his Ring Fit Adventure controller, requiring him to jog on the spot to move, and squat to refill his health flask. It sounds exhausting, but if you’re looking to take up a new sport, maybe try to break and lock your way to Elden Ring completion.
