We’re now officially one week on from the release of Elden Ring, and I’ve got to say, I’m not sure that I’ve ever been more concerned about the health and sleep schedule of gamers on the internet than I have been over these past seven days. The amount of hours some people have managed to put into it already is absolutely wild, and I both fear and respect it. Just, remember to get some sleep too, okay?

Anyway, as is the way with any Souls game, players have been scrambling to put together powerful builds in the hopes of standing even the slightest chance against the plethora of mind-numbingly difficult bosses, and this one will certainly make you a force to be reckoned with. Sorry, I’ll see myself out. Except I won’t, you’re stuck with me for this entire article. Fans have discovered this incredible build, which essentially lets you channel your inner Darth Maul, and it’s glorious.

If you want to find out how to get this build yourself and see it in action, check out this super handy guide.

Even though the Darth Maul build is cool, it’s probably not quite as powerful as just stripping your character naked. Yes, really. One player recently discovered that with the help of a rare loot drop, you can set yourself up with a super strong glass cannon build, and fell enemies easily while wearing nothing at all. Stupid sexy Tarnished. As you’d imagine, you’re very susceptible to being killed with this setup, but the damage output is certainly worth the risk, if you want to give it a go.

At the end of the day, players are going to need to take on all the unique strategies they can find, as there are absolutely no plans to make Elden Ring any easier. In a recent interview with The New Yorker, the game’s creator, Hidetaka Miyazaki, said that the difficulty is part of the experience: “We are always looking to improve, but, in our games specifically, hardship is what gives meaning to the experience. So, it's not something we're willing to abandon at the moment. It's our identity.”

So, that’s that. If you’re struggling though, fear not - we’ve got you covered. Check out our top tips for taking on the Lands Between in our guide here.
