Dear reader, let me start this article by reminding you that Elden Ring has been out and in our hands for under two weeks. To be precise, it’s been 12 days. Twelve days! Given the massive scope of the game (and not to mention the difficulty) it’d be totally understandable to not have finished it at all in that time - according to HowLongToBeat, the average time to finish the main story is 44 hours, which is quite a bit more than the 30 hours we were originally told it’d take.

Taking that into account, prepare to have your mind blown by this. Ready? Cool. One immensely skilled player has somehow managed to complete a no-death speedrun in about two and a half hours. You read that right - no deaths. Forget the speedy finish time, that bit’s impressive enough in and of itself.

Before we go on, did you know it's actually possible to beat Elden Ring's very first boss? You get an amazing reward if you manage it - check it out below.

This amazing run comes courtesy of niko bellic on YouTube, and is believed to be the first of its kind. Although it’ll undoubtably be the first of many, the fact that it’s been completed in such a short amount of time since release day is wild, and definitely will have taken a massive amount of skill and planning to pull off. You can watch the entire run below, but keep in mind that there are huge spoilers in there - so if you’ve not finished the game yet, you might want to bookmark it for another time.

Other users in the YouTube comments are understandably impressed: “Holy hell I was just thinking how long a speedrun would take given how new the game is…. Was NOT expecting under [three] hours for how huge this game is, well done!” commented Hearthstoned RC. “The first ever! Can't wait to see where this game can go. Fantastic run! Can't believe the run time is so short, but that speaks to the amount of planning this must have taken. Hats off,” wrote Steele Christenberry.

Meanwhile, if you’re still struggling with playing the game at a normal speed, fear not. FromSoftware’s latest is undeniably challenging, and we all know that being told to “git gud” isn’t even remotely helpful.
