Despite first being released almost 10 years ago, Fallout 4 has seen a recent influx of players following a new trailer for the upcoming Amazon Fallout show.
As the fourth main entry in the much-loved Fallout franchise, Fallout 4 was never considered as one of the best. However, with modders still hard at work keeping the game alive and news of Fallout 5 arriving some time in the future, it has managed to keep a somewhat steady player base.

Now there are reports that Fallout 4 has recently seen a massive spike in players following a brand-new trailer for the Amazon Fallout show inspired by the Bethesda title. According to TrueAchievements, from a sample pool of over 2.4 million Xbox accounts, the 33% increase has been documented over the last two weeks since the trailer aired on 7 March.

Considering Fallout 4 has not welcomed any new content since 2016, this is quite the achievement but with fans hyped for the upcoming Amazon show, this increase is perhaps unsurprising. Additionally, there have been increased player rates for other games in the series such as Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 76 with the latter seeing a 6% increase.
Set to air on 12 April, Fallout on Amazon is expected to bring life to the setting so many players have loved over the years.
“In a future, post-apocalyptic Los Angeles brought about by nuclear decimation, citizens must live in underground bunkers to protect themselves from radiation, mutants and bandits,” reads the official synopsis. “The world deserves a better ending.”
So far, the trailers have given us a glimpse of our main cast in the well-known blue garments, the Brotherhood of Steel, the Vaults and even Walton Goggins’ Ghoul. However, with video game adaptations being somewhat hit-or-miss, it remains to be seen if Amazon will remain faithful to the Bethesda series.
