In case it’d slipped your mind, Fallout 5 has been officially confirmed by Bethesda. The news was revealed in November last year, although we unfortunately probably can’t expect it for a while yet - back then, the studio’s director, Todd Howard, confirmed that they only had a “one-pager” for the game, aka a very rough, early plan. So, it’s happening, but don’t hold your breath for news.
In the meantime though, as always, the fans have been busy. One talented YouTube channel, ENFANT TERRIBLE, has created an incredible concept trailer for the next Fallout game, all running in Unreal Engine 5, and it’s stunning - if the real thing ends up looking as good as this, we’ll be in for a treat.
In case you weren't aware, a bunch of fans are working on an amazing DLC-sized mod for Fallout 4, called Fallout: London - take a look below.
Assets were created by a number of different artists, and as you can see in the video below, the final result is incredible. The post-apocalyptic environments we’ve all grown to know and love from the series are all here in their new and improved 4K glory - I’m sure many fans would do some questionable things to be able to explore every nook and cranny of this stunning world right now.
People in the YouTube comments are blown away by the work: “My jaw actually dropped during this. The only words coming to mind were ‘this is concept art coming to life’ and I dunno what else to add to the comment. This is incredible, man, INCREDIBLE,” commented Moses Keck. “Bro, this is absolutely beautiful! If there is a Fallout 5 we can only pray it looks nearly half as good as this. You are absolutely incredible for having made this. Kudos,” wrote João Figueiredo Pereira.
Unfortunately, again, this is just a concept, and it still doesn’t seem like we’re much closer to the real Fallout 5 coming out. That said, though, the fan-made Fallout 4 mod, Fallout: London, got a brand new trailer this week, along with a 2023 release window. The mod is going to be like a whole new chunk of DLC set in London (obviously) - there’s a lot to be excited about, and not too long to wait.
