'Fallout: London' Gameplay Unveiled, Looks Like The Best Fallout In Years

Our first proper look at gameplay for the upcoming Fallout: London has been revealed, and it genuinely looks like it could be the best Fallout experience in years.

Bethesda is, as I'm sure you know, currently swamped with the upcoming sci-fi RPG Starfield (2023) and the in-development Elder Scrolls VI (who tf knows), which means we have no idea when the next official Fallout is coming.

The good news? A team of hugely talented fans have banded together to create Fallout: London, a single-player DLC-sized total conversion mod for Fallout 4 that brings post-apocalyptic action to Britain. It's like looking outside my window.

Take a look at the 18-minute gameplay deep-dive below!

"As a divergence from previous official titles in the series, Fallout: London is not set in America," writes the Fallout: London team. "Visiting a totally new setting allows for us to explore totally new cultures which have not homogenized with their American counterparts. It also allows us to explore pre-war European history, and the effects the Resource Wars had on the class structured society of pre-war Britain."

It's clear that a ton of work and passion has gone into making this version of London feel distinctly different to any previous Fallout setting. There are all-new enemies, monsters, items, places, and even completely original voice-acting.

As a massive Doctor Who nerd, I was personally over-the-moon to discover the Fallout: London team have enlisted the talents of Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy, who played the Sixth and Seventh incarnations of The Doctor. It doesn't get much more authentically British than that.

If you're interested in joining the Fallout: London team, or even simply following along with the game's development, you can check out their Discord for plenty more information.

There's still plenty of work to be done on Fallout: London, which means we still don't quite have a release date. But based on what we've seen today, this is one fan project that's going to be worth the wait. I haven't been this excited for Fallout in a long, long time.
