Fallout: Resurrection is a huge sequel, and you can play it free

Easter is all about Resurrection

Fallout: Resurrection is one sequel you probably missed, but the good news is that it's really easy to download and play for free. And trust us, it's worth it.

It's a great time to be a Fallout fan, with so much new stuff on the horizon. Fallout 76 is still getting a a huge amount of updates, a gorgeous new boxset containing all the older games in the series is releasing soon, and Amazon's brilliant looking Fallout series drops in just a few days.

You can take a look at said series below, by the way:

With all this Fallout goodness on the go, newer fans might consider going back to check out the original games. While these adventures are markedly different to the Bethesda games, they're excellent RPGs that are well worth a look. They also have some seriously impressive mods, which brings us to Fallout: Resurrection.

Hardcore Fallout fans will probably already be very aware of Fallout: Resurrection, as it's been on the scene for a while and it's widely beloved. However, if you're new to Fallout and/or mods, allow me to be your guide.

Resurrection is a mod for Fallout 2 that was in development for 10 years, and has so much packed into it that it is essentially its own sequel. The game takes place between the original Fallout and its sequel, and sees players explore the ruins of New Mexico.

The story, gameplay, and everything else are all classic Fallout, and it absolutely deserves to stand alongside the first two games as a slice of vintage RPG action. With Fallout: London right around the corner, I'd suggest now is the perfect time for you to go back and check out one of the most important Fallout mods ever released. It may be old, but it completely holds up.
