Fans Divided Over Music Choice For New 'The Rings Of Power' Trailer

Fans Divided Over Music Choice For New 'The Rings Of Power' Trailer

Ahead of its release on 2 September, a new trailer has been released for the upcoming Prime Video series, and it's looking amazing.

Everyone stay calm, but The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is almost upon us. The all-new Amazon Prime Video series, set thousands of years before Frodo’s adventures in The Lord of the Rings, is set to release in under two weeks time, and just in case you weren’t excited enough, a new trailer has been revealed. Spoiler alert - it’s looking pretty epic.

Take a look at the new trailer for The Rings of Power right here.

In case you were unaware of the premise, the official synopsis is as follows: “This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien's pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.

“Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone."

Despite setting up what looks to be an incredible story, some fans have been left feeling a bit mixed about this trailer - specifically, its music choice. It doesn't exactly scream Lord of the Rings, and some feel like it actually ruined the atmosphere. Not everyone felt this way though, some were even asking about where they could listen to it online.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will be available to watch exclusively on Prime Video from 2 September, so there’s really not long to wait.
