FIFA footballer Sydney Leroux demands EA Sports 'deflate her boobs'

USWNT footballer Sydney Leroux has said that EA Sports should 'deflate her boobs' in FIFA 16.

Footballer Sydney Leroux has requested that EA Sports ‘deflate her boobs’ in FIFA 16, after noticing that someone had made her a little too ‘chesty’.

Last year, EA and FIFA finally confirmed that they’d decided to go their separate ways. After months of ‘will they, won’t they’, fans were given confirmation that the franchise they’d previously known as FIFA would become EA Sports. In recent weeks, EA Sports’ new branding was unveiled, giving us a brief glimpse at what we can expect aesthetically from the franchise going forwards. We’re yet to hear anything about EA Sports’ first entry though. In the meantime, there is some fresh controversy surrounding FIFA 16. Yes, the 2015 game. USWNT star Sydney Leroux isn’t happy with her in-game avatar.

Check out some of our favourite wins and fails below.

As reported by our friends at SPORTbible, Leroux recently expressed dismay over her in-game look. Born in Canada, the footballer has capped 77 times for the US Women’s National Team, winning both the World Cup and a gold medal at the Olympics in 2016. Leroux currently plays for Angel City FC, but has also represented Vancouver Whitecaps, Seattle Sounders, and Orlando Pride.

She recently took to Twitter to comment on her avatar, as seen in FIFA 16, writing, “They had the headband, the braid, the neck tattoo, the overly plucked brows and someone even made me CHESTYYYY!!!! Deflate my boobs a bit and put a different jersey on. I’ll keep the brows at this point.”

The footballer clearly wants to see EA do better. She continued, “I know you expect women to just be thankful and grateful that you’ve given us a little sliver of publicity, but please stop wasting our time.” The latest release, FIFA 23 marked the first time the franchise had a female cover star.
