It’s another day, which means we have some new free gaming goodness for Amazon Prime members.
Amazon is not only the top online retailer in the world, but it also offers other popular services such as the streaming services Prime Video and Prime Music Unlimited, as well as Kindle, Audible, and more.

What’s more, Amazon also owns the Twitch streaming platform and as such, it offers Amazon Prime members free games (via Prime Gaming) and DLC on a monthly basis, adding even more value to the service.

As it’s the start of a new month, Amazon has revealed the free offerings for August 2023 in Prime Gaming and it includes the critically acclaimed PAYDAY 2 and even throws in some bonus DLC for good measure.
The PAYDAY video game series is one in which co-op buddies must work together to pull the ultimate heist and revel in the criminal riches. Well, that’s the idea, but in my experience, it usually results in absolute chaos within seconds when an alarm is triggered, usually by me. Still, that’s arguably when the PAYDAY series is its most fun.
You can claim PAYDAY 2 on PC at no additional cost if you’re an Amazon Prime member. Furthermore, the free bonus DLC is the ‘Gage Mod Courier’pack which includes an additional mode that hides packages in the map each offering its own set of rewards.
Elsewhere in the Prime Gaming free goodies, you can claim the likes of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, as well as a collection of fantastic indie darlings. Some of the free DLC includes Pokémon GO, Diablo IV, League of Legends, New World and much more.

For console gamers, six critically acclaimed titles have recently been added to Xbox Game Pass, and September 2023 is already shaping up to be a potentially huge month for PS Plus subscribers.
If you want to claim PAYDAY 2 and the bonus DLC at no extra cost, you have until 6 September 2023 before the offer expires. As for the immediate future of the series, PAYDAY 3 will be released on 21 September 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PAYDAY 3 also launches on Xbox Game Pass.
