Showing themselves to be fans of vague teases, 2K revealed today in their Q3 fiscal year 2019 call to investors that a highly anticipated title from an existing IP is on track for a release in 2020.
While there's nothing to go on as to what title this could possibly be, the publisher certainly has a large array of franchises worthy of a revival. BioShock, Borderlands, Mafia and X-COM are popular series that could receive major new instalments in the near future. Perhaps another bash at The Bureau? Or, just maybe, a Battleborn revival? Hey, we all need to believe in a Phoenix now and then.
What it isn't is the already announced Project Wight from The Outsiders, a new studio comprised of ex-Dice devs, or the unnamed title being put together by Sledgehammer co-founder and former Visceral Games director Michael Condrey. Both exciting projects in their own right.
