Netflix is rapidly becoming the home of quality video game adaptations. Castlevania absolutely slaps, and Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is a solid adventure for survival horror fans. Even Ubisoft is teaming up with the streaming giant for shows based on Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed, and Far Cry.
Before long, Netflix is going to be absolutely stacked with video game goodness - and a new report suggests the service is already eyeing up yet another potential adaptation.

According to a new report, Netflix is in the early stages of developing a series based on Dishonored. Developed by Arkane and published by Bethesda, Dishonored and its 2016 sequel are a pair of sublime stealth-action games that follow the story of Corvo Attano. Once bodyguard to the Empress of the Isles, Attano is framed for the royal's murder and is forced to hack-and-slash his way to innocence. Seriously, the games are excellent. Please play them.

Take this report with a pinch of salt for the now, as the only source is Giant Freaking Robot, who claims to have heard from "trusted and proven" sources that Dishonored is coming to Netflix. They also suggest that the streaming service is looking to build these adaptations into long-running franchises - much in the same way Netflix's The Witcher now has an anime spinoff and an in-development prequel as well as a second series.
It's also worth noting that some serious talent has expressed an interest in making a Dishonored TV show before now. Gennifer Hutchinson, a writer on Amazon's The Lord Of The Rings, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul tweeted last year that she'd love to write a Dishonored series.
I'm certainly not saying that's what she's doing now, but you never do know what can come from randomly manifesting something on Twitter. Hell, just look at how Marvel's Shang-Chi star bagged the role through Twitter over seven years ago.
