Another New LEGO Star Wars Game Has Been Announced, And It's Coming Soon

Hear me out. I'd argue that the LEGO titles might just be one of the best gaming series ever. Though they might not be 'serious' pieces like The Last of Us or facing new technological advancements like Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, the LEGO games stand on their own as some of the most fun and wholesome experiences out there. Who didn't spend hours in LEGO Star Wars or in the more recent DC and Marvel collaborations? In any case, the LEGO games are coming back with a new adventure on Apple Arcade and you'll be glad to know that no, it won't have in-game purchases.

As reported by ScreenRant, LEGO Star Wars Battles is a new LEGO game coming to Apple Arcade which will be a multiplayer strategy title. While we're all patiently waiting for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga which will revisit and expand the games many of us grew up playing, this mobile game will let players in on a new way to play with minifigures.

Players will get full access to the strategy game with an Apple Arcade membership ($4.99 a month) and will of course have to own an Apple product to be able to play. LEGO Star Wars Battles will pit two players against one another, using units and troops from the Star Wars universe to battle until one user defeats the base of the other. Simple, and with no payments within the game, it won't be a pay-to-win title which is nice, right?

LEGO Star Wars Battles doesn't yet have a release date on its reveal post but it's coming soon. Hopefully, when it does reach Apple devices, it'll scratch the LEGO itch that many of us experience from time to time. And if it doesn't, we have The Skywalker Saga just around the corner in 2022.
