If you're in the mood for something sci-fi themed this October, Amazon Prime is offering a smorgasbord of free games that will more than likely scratch that itch for you.

The Amazon Prime Gaming offerings for October have been confirmed, and it looks to be the one of service's most comprehensive yet. Starting next month (which is in fact just a few days away), Amazon Prime members can download and keep Star Wars: Squadrons, Alien: Isolation, Ghostrunner, and more.

As always, these freebies have to be claimed and redeemed via Prime Gaming within the given window and are only available on PC. That means anyone hoping to check out these games on PlayStation or Xbox are out of luck, unfortunately. Assuming you have a PC that can run these games and a Prime membership, however, they're yours to keep. Not too shabby.

It's a heck of a lineup, too. Star Wars: Squadrons was one of the most underrated and overlooked games of 2020. If you've been crying out for a gorgeous new space battle sim set in the Star Wars universe, I promise you Squadrons delivers in spades. Do not sleep on it any longer.

Alien: Isolation, meanwhile, is one of the finest horror games ever made. It's been made available for free at various points over the last couple of years, but if you somehow keep missing those periods, now is the time to claim it. Seriously, it's ace.

Finally, Ghostrunner is a super slick first-person parkour-action game. It's kind of like Mirror's Edge meets Cyberpunk 2077, with plenty of challenging first-person platforming and a killer soundtrack. Again, it's an underrated 2020 release that I would urge you to check out.

That's not all, though. Subscribers can also download and keep the following: Song of Horror Complete Edition - Fear the Presence, Red Wings: Aces of the Sky, Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures, Blue Fire, Tiny Robots Recharged, Whiskey & Zombies: The Great Southern Zombie Escape, and Secret Files 3.

In addition, there are exclusive bundles for titles like Call Of Duty: Warzone, Genshin Impact, Apex Legends, and the recently released Amazon MMO New World.
