One Of The Greatest Horror Games Ever Is Free To Download Right Now

Alien: Isolation has once again returned to the Epic Games Store and is free to download right now. I don't really know what more to tell you, to be honest. Creative Assembly's 2014 sci-fi masterpiece is an epic, unbearably tense survival horror that not only nails the vibe of the source material, but deserves to be regarded as one of the greatest horror games of all time. You need to play this game.

The game follows the unfortunate exploits of Ellen Ripley's daughter, Amanda, as she embarks on a journey to track down her mum. It's not long before she's stuck on a ship where pretty much everything wants her dead. Deadly robots would be one thing, of course, but Amanda also has to content with an angry, unstoppable Xenomorph that hunts her relentlessly.

What follows is an intense battle of wits between player and alien, as Amanda navigates the ship to solve puzzles and find a way out, all while avoiding a Xenomorph that can pop out from anywhere at anytime and kill you stone dead. It's awesome, you can follow this link to the Epic Games Store to claim it, and check out our very own special video on the game below if you're still on the fence.

The Epic Games Store is also offering Hands Of Fate 2 this week. Having never played it I have no idea if it's any good, but it certainly looks interesting. Also, it's free, so you have nothing to lose.

Hands Of Fate 2 is described as a deck-building dungeon-crawler/rouguelike set in a dark fantasy world. "Master a living boardgame where every stage of the adventure is drawn from a deck of legendary encounters chosen by you," teases developer and publisher Defiant Development. "Choose wisely - your opponent, the enigmatic Dealer, will pull no punches as he shapes you into the instrument of his revenge."

If neither of these games interest you, don't forget PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 owners can currently grab Horizon Zero Dawn for free.
