Alternate Reality Fan Video Gives 'Red Dead Redemption 2' Gang A Happy Ending

We all remember good video game endings. The ones where we come to the end of a saga and feel like we've accomplished something amazing or feel satisfied with the outcome between you and the forces you've been fighting. We think, however, what we remember the endings we hated or were disappointed with more. Mass Effect 3 fans and Assassin's Creed 3 fans know this sentiment all too well.

Now, though, someone who didn't like the way that Red Dead Redemption 2 ended has decided that instead of the real ending of the Western RPG, they wanted a happy ending for the Marstons and gang. So they've made one.

We're not going to spoil how the real story ends because some of you might not have seen it yet and, well, we can at least tell you it's not like this. It's a smidge sadder than the Marston Wedding video that user MSlingerW posted on Reddit, which is a delight. Grieg's Morning plays in the background as the Marstons get ready to be married and their friends gather to celebrate the happy couple.

All in all, it's just a much happier and fun version of what could have happened to the characters in RDR2. It's easy to get lost in the video which feels like a real cut scene. We can all just pretend this is how the game ends, even up to John Marston looking a little bewildered in a close-up shot. And how could we forget the friendly Dutch there ready to give a speech looking perfectly normal and not suspicious at all.

The scene was made using a bunch of mods. MSlingerW admits that it "took quite a while since there were so many actors involved". The dedication is pretty impressive for sure.

Fans on Reddit have been singing the praises of the concept too even saying they wished a situation like this was possible in the game. "Oh, I wish this was possible to experience in-game. Like an easter egg, a dream or anything! Even Micah joined!" says TheMoskus while speed_jelly22 called is "beautiful".
