Zack Snyder’s 'Army Of The Dead' Is Just Dave Bautista Versus Zombies

We've been talking about Zack Snyder's Justice League for ages now haven't we? Superman this, and Batman that - so perhaps we give DC a little break, eh? Let's instead talk about Zack Snyder's next film Army of the Dead because a brutal new trailer just dropped.

Imagine this Dave Bautista against an intelligent, bloodthirsty zombie horde in Las Vegas? Cool, right? Well, it seems that's the entire basis of Army of the Dead. The story that the brand new trailer reveals to us goes a bit like this. Bautista (or Mr. Ward as he's first called) is living a humble life after some sort of combat career, but is dragged back into fighting with an unmissable offer. $200 million lies in a vault beneath Las Vegas, just sitting there, waiting to be taken. Someone will help Bautista get a portion of that money if he can get in and out - sounds simple. But then the catch is that Las Vegas has become the home of the zombie apocalypse and some deadly undead.

As the trailer says, they're not just dumb undead, these zombies are fast, intelligent, and organised. They are set on hunting Bautista and his team down if they enter Las Vegas - so who wins? I'd put money on at least one of the team dying because come on, it's a zombie film - it's boring if there aren't any stakes involved, but I wonder if the team ever get the money out.

If you're interested in seeing Army of the Dead when it hits Netflix, don't worry you're not going to have to wait long. The film will be on the streaming service from May 21, 2021, so just around the corner. Oh, and how could I forget to mention that there is a zombie tiger in the film too? Yeah, it might be "crossing the line" but, wow, where can I get one?
