'Assassin's Creed Valhalla' Adds Ezio Auditore DLC, You Can Download Free Right Now

Most Assassin's Creed fans will tell you that series' best protagonist is quite clearly Ezio Auditore. The star of Assassin's Creed II was a hit when Ubisoft introduced him to the world back in 2009, lending the then-budding stealth-action series a sense of fun and playfulness its predecessor was lacking.

A handful of Assassins have come and gone in the years since Ezio made his debut, but none have ever really come close to snatching his crown. It probably helps that our young upstart got to appear in the most games, to be fair, allowing players to see him grow from reckless youngster into a deadly and wise Assassin. No wonder he was voted gaming's greatest character in a GAMINGbible poll.

Take a look at some of the funniest moments in Assassin's Creed Valhalla!

While Ezio himself probably isn't returning to Assassin's Creed anytime soon, fans can now unlock his iconic red-and-white robes in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. To claim them, you'll need to unlock them via Ubisoft Connect. The only catch is that you need to have played at least two Assassin's Creed games using the same Ubisoft account. If you meet that criteria, the robes are yours for free.

This small but welcome freebie is really just a teaser for something larger to come. Assassin's Creed Valhalla's next major expansion, The Siege Of Paris, will be released tomorrow (August 12). Expect new story missions, an entirely new region to explore, new characters to meet, and maybe even a few hints as to what's next for the future of the series. We already know there are more plans for Valhalla in 2022, so strap in.
