It's official, Assassin's Creed Valhalla has gone gold ahead of its release next month, ready to usher in the next generation of consoles. Ubisoft broke the news via their official Twitter account to get fans of the series excited for the next chapter in the Assassin's Creed franchise.

What does it mean when a game goes gold? Well, basically it's that the studio and publisher have completely finished developing the title. All that's left to do is print the game onto physical discs so it's ready to be distributed for its release. So Assassin's Creed Valhalla is on its way to being mass produced, ready to be shipped out worldwide on 10th November.

The latest in the long-running series is going to be one of the first games that will be releasing on the next-gen Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, with them releasing in November as well. It'll be one of the first games to properly utilise the tech that these new machines will be packing, which means quicker loading times when fast travelling between locations not to mention how good games are going to look.

For anyone who's planning to buy Assassin's Creed Valhalla before purchasing an Xbox Series X then do not fret - Microsoft have confirmed that the game will be available via Smart Delivery on next-gen. This means that if you buy it for the Xbox One, you won't need to purchase it again, as that same game will switch to the Series X/S version when you take the next-gen plunge.

We recently got our hands on a preview of Assassin's Creed Valhalla where we got to explore the English countryside, doing all sorts of quests and side missions. We put together a small video showcasing around 10-minutes of solid gameplay, which you can check out below.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be heading to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on November 10th with the PlayStation 5 version releasing alongside the console on November 12th (or November 19th in the UK). November is going to be jam packed with a ton of other games so very exciting times ahead.
